The Teen Leadership Kallah

The Kallah is designed for teens entering 10th grade through those entering 1st year in college who hold leadership positions and/or are working as tutors, teachers, and teacher’s aides in a Jewish educational setting. The program includes pedagogic techniques, text study, and experiential programming in a setting rich in Jewish values and ideas. Outstanding personnel in Jewish education will lead sessions. Applicants must request and complete the entire Teen Leadership Kallah application packet and submit full payment in order to participate in this program and be registered for the Conference. To apply go to www.caje.org/teen. Note: Due to a generous grant from the Myra Reinhard Family Foundation, we are able to offer the Teen Leadership Kallah at a special rate of $515. There are a limited number of spaces at this discounted rate. When the discounted spaces have been filled, others may join the Kallah at the non-discounted price. Every teen participant must have a sponsoring adult on site at the Conference for the full duration of the Pre-Conference/Shabbat/ Conference period.
Bogrim Program
Monday, August 6 – Thursday, August 10
The Bogrim program is designed to give middle school aged children participate in CAJE - meet the wonderful presenters, learn about how they can play a role in Jewish education, sit in on sessions that are of interest to them - with guides. The Bogrim counselors (me and another person) narrow the scope of all that is offered at CAJE and create a mini-program guide for them. We give them choices on what they would like to see or participate in, bring presenters to do programs with Bogrim alone, or do activities on our own.
Bogrim is designed for students who are at CAJE with their parents, as it starts after breakfast and finishes before dinner each day. Bogrim also only begins when the full conference begins and does not include the Shabbat before. The counselors who run Bogrim are accessible by Bogrim parents throughout the day.
